Powder from white to light-yellow color, with specific odor of the components.
COMPOSITION
Each 1 g contains the active ingredients:
tiamulin hydrogen fumarate (tiamulin base) – 450 mg;
colistin sulfate – 120000 units;
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Tiamulin is a bacteriostatic semisynthetic antibiotic of pleuromutylin group, and acts on the ribosomal level, inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria.
Tiamulin acts on 70S ribosomal levels. The main place of connection with the ribosomes is 0S subunit, and the possible place of connection – in the joints of subunits 50S and 30S. It inhibits the synthesis of microbial protein, creating a biochemically inactive initiative systems, which prevent the growth of the polypeptide chain.
Tiamulin has bacteriostatic effect. It has strong effect against mycoplasma (M. hyopneurnoniae, M. hyosynoviae, M. hyorhinis) and spirochetes (B. hyodysenteriae, B. pilosicoli). Gram-positive aerobes (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Corynebacterium pyogenes), anaerobes (Clostridia spp.), Gram-negative anaerobes (Lawsonia intracellularis, Bacteroides spp., Ma Fusobacterium spp.) and gram-negative aerobes (Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida) show high sensitivity in vitro to tiamulin. Tiamulin has little effect against enterobacteria, such as Salmonella spp. or Escherichia coli.

Colistin sulphate – antibiotic of polymyxin group that synthesizes by aerobic spore-forming rod Bacillus polymyxa. It effects bactericidally on gram-negative bacteria (e.g. E. coli, Salmonella, Pseudomonas), binding to phospholipids of the cytoplasmic membrane, increasing its permeability both internally and of extracellular components, which leads to degradation of cellular barrier interiors.
INDICATIONS
Treatment of pigs, poultry (broilers, replacements, turkeys) suffering from diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and respiratory system caused by pathogens susceptible to tiamulin and colistin.
DOSAGE
Orally in doses:
daily dose course of treatment
Swine - Prevention and treatment of dysentery 0.4 kg product per 1 ton of feed 3 – 5 days
Swine - prevention of enzootic pneumonia 0.22 kg of product per 1 ton of feed 10 days
Swine - treatment of enzootic pneumonia 0.44 kg of product per 1 ton of feed 5 – 7 days
Prevention and treatment of broilers, replacements, turkeys 1 – 3 days of age 50 g product per 100 liters of drinking water 1 , 2 , 3 day of life
Chicken 4 weeks old 25 g product per 100 liters of drinking water 2 – 3 days in a row
Replacements and turkeys on the 4, 9 , 16, 20 weeks of age (in the presence of seropositivity) 25 g product per 100 liters of drinking water 3 consecutive days in each of mentioned weeks
Replacements and turkeys (in the presence of pathological changes and / or clinical signs) 50 g product per 100 liters of drinking water monthly for 3 days in a row


To prepare the solution put the required amount of the medicine into a small container, stir constantly, pour warm water. Prepared in this way concentrate immediately added to the required amount of water according to the norms of required water to certain age groups of poultry. Prepare fresh solution on a daily basis. The shelf life after mixing with feed – 24-36 hours, when dissolved in water – 12 hours.
CONTRAINDICATION
Hypersensitivity to tiamulin and colistin.
Do not use medicines that contain monenzin, narazin or salinomicin for at least 7 days before and 7 days after the treatment pigs with tiamulin.
Do not use to animals with impaired renal function, and sows during the first month of pregnancy, breeding boars that intended for reproduction of the livestock.
Do not administer to laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.
PRECAUTIONS
In the process of mixing the preparation the personnel should use protective equipment (respirator, gloves).
Test the drug preliminarily in a small number of animals (7 to 8 heads). If no complication during 2 - 3 days, use the drag for the entire livestock population.
Animals and poultry may only be slaughtered for meat after 7 days after the last use of the medicine.
HOW SUPPLIED
Packages from polyethylene film or other polymer film of 1, 2, 5, 10, 50 g, 100 g, 500 g and 1 kg and 25 kg.
Containers of 100, 500 g and 1 kg.
STORAGE
Dry, dark, inaccessible to children place at temperature from 10°С to 25°С.
Shelf life – 2 years.
The shelf life once opened - under the conditions of storage and well sealed package - 28 days.
