Paratil

...DESCRIPTION
Liquid from light to dark yellow color and a bit of sediment is possible.
COMPOSITION
Each 1 ml contains the active ingredients:
enrofloxacin – 80 mg;
colistin sulphate – 600 000 IU;
tilmicosin phosphate in terms of tilmicosin – 75 mg.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Paratil – is a combined preparation containing three antibiotics.
Enrofloxacin – is an antibiotic from fluoroquinolones group. Its mechanism of action is associated with inhibition of A subunit of DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) of gram-negative bacteria that blocks the process of superspiralization of the DNA molecule. In gram-positive bacteria, this process affects topoisomerase IV, and not topoisomerase II. Under these conditions, the transcription and the recombination process in bacteria’sDNAare blocked.
Enrofloxacin has a bactericidal action against Gram-positive (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Corynebacterium spp. And others) and Gram-negative microorganisms (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp. etc.), and also affects mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae, Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma meleagridis, Mycoplasma iowae).
Colistin – is an antibiotic from the  group of polymyxin, that synthesized by aerobic spore-forming rod Bacillus polymyxa. It acts bactericidally on gram-positive bacteria (such as E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pseudomonas spp.), binding to phospholipids of cytoplasmic membrane, increasing its permeability both for internal and external cell components, which leads to destruction of the cell barriers.
Tilmicosin –a semi-synthetic antibiotic of macrolide group with a broad spectrum of activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, especially against Pasteurella spp., Haemophilus spp., Actinomyces spp., Corynebacterium and Mycoplasma spp. The mechanism of tilmicosin’saction is to block the synthesis of proteins in the bacterial cell as a result of formation of the complex with 50S- ribosomal subunits.
INDICATIONS
Treatment of poultry (chicks, broilers, turkeys), that suffers from colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, chronic respiratory diseases (CRD), staphylococcosis and campylobacteriosis caused by microorganisms susceptible to enrofloxacin, tilmicosin and colistin.
DOSAGE
Orally with drinking water:  1 ml per 1 liter of drinking water, daily for 3-5 days.
Depending on severity of the disease, the dosage might be increased to 1.5 ml per 1 liter of drinking water per day.
The treatment can be repeated later in case of stressful situations and new cases of disease.
Before the use, shake well the ampoule or vial (canister).
During treatment, the animals should receive only the water that contains the preparation.
Prepare a fresh solution on a daily basis according to the calculated amount of consumption per day.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to enrofloxacin, tilmicosin and colistin.
Do use in animals with impaired renal and liver functions.
Do not use simultaneously with tetracyclines, erythromycin, cyclosporin, chloramphenicol, as well as with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents.
Do not use in laying hens producing eggs for human consumption.
PRECAUTIONS
In recommended doses, side effects are not observed.
Slaughtering of poultry for meat is permitted after 12 days from the last treatment.
